Meditation is completely different from relaxation, thinking, concentration and self-hypnosis.
Thinking requires you to focus your mind on a particular wavelength or frequency.
While thinking, we have to make sure we don't have a concentration lapse. There needs to be focus on an activity from beginning to end without distractions.
Relaxation is about not worrying about anything and perhaps even going to bed.
Self-hypnosis is about reaching the subtle levels of frequency in the mind which can perhaps slip into sleep.
Meditation is about reaching the alpha, delta and theta levels of frequency and merging with the Almighty force. God is inside us. To travel inwards and be in touch with the almighty force within us is the true purpose of meditation.
